Doug Hood Mining

Plant

The company has a strong maintenance culture developed around the need to maximise productivity from the available plant fleet and the self-sufficiency required when operating in remote sites around New Zealand.

In-house engineering capability is an important aspect of the company’s approach to maintenance. This includes component & GET change-outs, bucket & attachment builds and rebuilds, plus boom and dipper arm repairs.

Whilst with some projects there is no need for significant use of subcontractors, we do acknowledge the importance of subcontractors and suppliers all of whom perform an invaluable role in supporting any large operation.

We have favorable relationships with a wide range of NZ and overseas suppliers and contracting companies which allows us to rapidly expand capacity to meet project needs.
