Doug Hood Mining Ltd has held ISO9000/9001 certification since 1997. This system drives all company and project management processes and is a key element of our capability and success as a mining and civil engineering contractor.
For each project we develop a Contract Management Plan (CMP) within which we cover:
- Contract specification
- Quality assurance & control
- Training
- Health & safety
- Environmental management
- Traffic management
- Water management
- Drill & blast
- Construction methodologies
This plan is then used as the ‘rule book’ via which all project activities are managed.
Since 2003 the state insurer ACC has awarded the company the highest possible rating with respect to the Workplace Safety Management Practices programme.
